I have been working with a certain very bright girl – a fourth-year primary-school pupil. We have been meeting since late November, once a week, and for an hour we try to overcome whatever causes her the most difficulty. Our meetings begin with us reading something in her Polish textbook or doing her maths, which takes most of our time. If there is still some more left, we play together, so we can get to know each other better. Apart from our weekly meetings, we participate in the Academy’s monthly outings – for example to the planetarium, or take part in events such as a board-game day.
